Tuesday, January 20, 2026 – 2026 Legislative Conference in Montgomery, AL

AILA Members and Friends:

Our 2026 Legislative Conference will take place Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Montgomery, AL on the 6th floor of the RSA Plaza Building, 770 Washington Avenue. The RSA Plaza Building is located directly across Washington Avenue from the Alabama State House which is behind the State Capitol. on the 6th floor of the RSA Plaza Building, 770 Washington Avenue. The Legislature reports for duty early in 2026–on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. So, the session will be underway, and we should know by then what, if any bills will affect our industry.

The business meeting will start at 3:00 PM, and the Reception for Members of the Legislature and Staff will start at 5:00 PM. Parking in the adjacent deck (behind the RSA Plaza Building) should be available beginning around 2:00 PM.

Wednesday, October 22, 2025 – Alabama Installment Lenders Association Committee Day Meeting in Birmingham

AILA Members and Friends:

I hope that everyone enjoyed the Annual Conference at The Lodge at Gulf State Park.  I think it was our best annual meeting to date.

Our next AILA meeting will be in Birmingham on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Crescent Building, 2311 Highland Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205.  We will start at 10:00 AM.  Lunch will be served.  We plan to conclude at 1:00 PM.

This is our traditional “Committee Day” Meeting where committees will meet to plan strategy for the year and discuss other industry and association business.  As we develop the agenda, more information will be forthcoming.    Meanwhile, please mark your calendar.

32nd Annual Convention – Gulf Shores, AL – June 5-7th, 2025

AILA Members: You probably received the attached Convention materials in the mail last week. We have learned that the reservation code for reserving rooms at The Lodge, as printed on the brochure, is not being recognized by The Lodge. They have changed our code to “ALILA.” So, when you call The Lodge at 1-800-618-4350 to reserve your room(s), please mention “ALILA.”
